Cassandra Pinataro
Cassandra, also known as Cassandra Lopez-Yañez, is an opera singer and pop singer-songwriter with powerful vocals and a range that spans over four octaves. Blending her unique cross-over ability, she is known for having created a new style of music she dubs “Popera”. Her latest Popera track “Rosé Red” fuses her pop/RnB vocals with inspiration and melodies from Verdi’s “Libiamo ne’ lieti calici” from La Traviata.
Cassandra has made appearances with the Nashville Opera and has sung with orchestras across North America including the Omaha Symphony, Orquesta Sinfónica de Aguascalientes, and Steamboat Symphony. This year, she will debut with the Dallas Symphony, Detroit Symphony, and Indianapolis Symphony, among others.
Cassandra has performed on NBC’s “Today in Nashville” and has received countless songwriting awards including the John Lennon Songwriting Competition, the Unsigned Only Pop/ Top 40 competition, and the International Songwriting Competition.
