Donald Runnicles

Sir Donald Runnicles is the General Music Director of the Deutsche Oper Berlin (DOB) since 2009, Music Director of the Grand Teton Music Festival since 2005, and in his final season as Principal Guest Conductor of the Atlanta Symphony since 2001. Runnicles is also Principal Guest Conductor of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra since 2019, its first ever. He holds the title of Conductor Emeritus of the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, having served as Chief Conductor from 2009-2016.

Tabita Berglund

Tabita Berglund is one of today’s most exciting, talented and in-demand young conductors who has gained a reputation for her alert, charismatic and inspiring style which elicits “exceptional music-making” (The Arts Desk). This season, Berglund begins her four-year tenure as Principal Guest Conductor of Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and from 2025/26 she holds the same title with Dresdner Philharmonie; she was appointed to each position following her respective debut.

Dmitry Matvienko

Dmitry Matvienko is the winner of the 2021 edition of the prestigious «Malko Competition for Young Conductors» with First prize and Audience prize. Previously, he was awarded with the Critics and the «Made in Italy» prizes at the International Conducting Competition «Guido Cantelli». Matvienko received his first music lessons at the age of six before undergoing a formal training as a chorister and chorus master. He studied choral conducting at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and he was a member of the MusicAeterna Choir at the Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre under the artistic direction of Teodor Currentzis from 2012 to 2013. In the following years he studied conducting at the Moscow Conservatory and attended master classes of Gennady Rozhdestvensky, Vladimir Jurowski, Teodor Currentzis and Vasily Petrenko.

Marie Jacquot

Marie Jacquot stands out of the numerous young conducting talents due to her interest in exploring a wide-ranging repertoire, her consistent rehearsal work and her inspiring interpretations on the podium and in the pit alike. In the 2021/22 season, the designated chief conductor of the Royal Danish Theater made her acclaimed debuts with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig, the Dresden Philharmonic, at Deutsche Oper Berlin (“La Traviata”) and Semperoper Dresden (“Der Goldene Drache”, “Carmen”), and she returned to the Stuttgart State Opera (“Don Giovanni”) and Deutsches Sinfonieorchester Berlin.

Gustavo Gimeno

Gustavo Gimeno is the Music Director with Orchestre Philharmonique de Luxembourg – a title he has held since 2015, and Toronto Symphony Orchestra where his tenure began in 2020/21. He is also Music Director Designate of Teatro Real where he will assume his role in season 2025/26.

Yutaka Sado

Born in Kyoto, Yutaka Sado is currently Music Director of the Tonkünstler Orchestra in Austria, Artistic Director of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center and its resident orchestra, and Principal Conductor of the Siena Wind Orchestra in Tokyo.

David Newman

David Newman is one of today’s most accomplished creators of music for ﬁlm. In his 30-year career he has scored more than 110 ﬁlms, ranging from War of the Roses, Matilda, Bowﬁnger, and Heathers to the more recent Girls Trip, Night School and Serenity.

Kirill Karabits

Kirill Karabits has been Chief Conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra for 14 years and their relationship has been celebrated worldwide. Together they have made many critically acclaimed recordings, performed regularly at the BBC Proms and appeared together at London’s Barbican Centre as part of the Beethoven celebrations in the 19-20 season.

Mark Wigglesworth

Mark Wigglesworth is recognised internationally for his masterly interpretations both in the opera house and in the concert hall, for his highly detailed performances that combine a finely considered architectural structure with great sophistication and rare beauty. He is an outstanding conductor who has forged many enduring relationships with orchestra and opera companies across the world, conducting repertoire ranging from Mozart through to Boulez.
